Whether it be a trend, brand, store, restaurant, quote, or anything else I cannot live without, I am here to share it all with you. Here are my favorites from the month of July:

Favorite things
One-piece swimsuits
I would like to thank not only the fashion Gods, but Jesus for one-piece swimsuits becoming a thing. Take a moment to understand what I am saying – it is literally trendy to hide your stomach. To all the moms reading, I love you and want the best for you, so this does not mean you can wear a tankini because it is “close enough.” My fingers are crossed for swimshirts next summer.

Wildflower cases
I change my phone case about as often as Taylor Swift gets a new boyfriend. Whenever I think about getting one that is more stylish than protective, I see the ghosts of my shattered iPhones past. My favorite thing about Wildflower is how they found a way to incorporate incredible designs with quality structure. Do not wage your phone in a fight against concrete, but check out their website.

Dunkin’ Donuts
Since I live in Boston now, this is basically a favorite by law. I am not kidding when I say there is a Dunkin’ Donuts on every corner and running though the veins of every citizen. I could not argue though after I started making their drive-thru a routine stop on my way to work and tried their iced coffee. It has been quite the rush cheating on Starbucks like this, but Dunks has my heart.
S’well bottles
My experience with S’well was very similar to my college application process. First, I picked the colors I liked and then found out all these amazing benefits to the investment. For instance, the bottles keep things cold for 24, keep things hot for 12 hours, and do not perspire. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, you can also buy from an extension of S’well at Target called Sip. The brand is growing in popularity every day, so other competing companies better watch their (camel) backs.

Favorite Song
“Closer” by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey
My music tastes are basic and unapologetic, so I admit to only finding The Chainsmokers because of their song, “Roses.” Since their release of this equally catchy hit though, I have only been hitting repeat.

Favorite read
Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll
If you want to be pretentious, you can pretend that books like Moby Dick and Jane Eyre are the only books worth reading. If you want to be honest and read things praised by Reese Witherspoon, this is the suggestion for you. One of the reviews accurately describes this book as, “a combination of Mean Girls and Gone Girl.” I could not stop reading. This book is addictive and page-turning, so prepare to make up excuses for plans that sound better than, “Hey, I am going to stay in my sweatpants and read.” I put a warning here that the story is on the darker side, but is more suspenseful and mysterious than Saw V.

Favorite person

Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling is my all-time favorite person and hero, but I feel even more in love with her this month. To be honest, I did not know that was possible. She is most famous for her role as Kelly Kapor on The Office, but does not get enough recognition for being one of only two female writers for the show. Kaling is the genius behind episodes like, “Chair Model,” and, “Classy Christmas.” She later went on to create, star, write, and executive produce another show, The Mindy Project. You can watch the entire series on Hulu. It comes highly recommended… by me. Her characters offer an endless supply of laughter, but nothing is better than Kaling in real life. She has written three books all about awkward childhood, messy adulthood, and everything in between. I cannot tell if I want to be her best friend or just want to be her. At the very least, you should follow her on Twitter. The woman can do it all and in 140 characters. Mindy, if you are reading this, I want to be best friends.
